Use Translate when you need localized versions of reviewed products. Translation is a separate workflow from enrichment: it preserves the source product’s meaning and factual content instead of rewriting its positioning or adding new product claims.

See AI Product Translation for Ecommerce for an overview of the capability and its use across markets.

Translate one product

  1. Open Review Products and select the product you want to localize.
  2. Open More Actions.
  3. Select Translate.
  4. Choose the Source locale and Target locale.
  5. Select Translate.

The source and target locales must be different. The panel offers Listagrow’s supported locale list and prevents you from selecting the same language as both source and target.

Translate products

Translate products from your connected catalog

You can start a translation directly from Enrich Products without first creating items in Review Products:

  1. Open Enrich Products.
  2. Select the catalog products you want to localize.
  3. Open AI Tasks, then select Translate selected.
  4. Choose the Source locale and one or more Target locales.
  5. Add any protected terms and choose whether to replace translations that already exist.
  6. Select Review translation, check the item and credit totals, then select Start translation.

Listagrow reads the latest product content from the connected catalog when the background operation runs. When it finishes, select View Results in the progress message to open the products from that operation in the Translations tab.

The Translations tab also keeps a durable list of every product with saved translations for the current connection. This includes products that have not been published from Listagrow. Clear the operation filter to return to the complete list.

Translate products in bulk

Translate selected products

  1. Open Review Products.
  2. Select each product you want to localize.
  3. Select More Actions, then Translate selected.
  4. Choose the Source locale and one or more Target locales.
  5. Add any brand names, model numbers, or other terms that must remain unchanged under Protected terms. Separate multiple terms with commas.
  6. Leave Regenerate existing translations off to keep translations that already exist. Turn it on only when you intend to recreate them from the current source content.
  7. Select Review translation and check the product, locale, translation-item, and credit totals.
  8. Select Start translation.

Each product and target-locale pair is one translation item and uses one credit. For example, 4 products translated into 3 target locales create 12 items and require 12 credits. Existing translations are skipped by default and are shown in the review total before the operation starts.

Translate products in bulk

Bulk translation runs in the background. Its progress remains visible while you move between pages. You can cancel an active operation, retry eligible failed items, or return later and continue following its progress.

When the operation finishes, the translations are saved in Listagrow and remain attached to their products. They are not published to Shopify until you apply the products or publish a localized version separately.

Publish products and their translations

After selected-product translation is complete:

  1. Keep the translated products selected in Review Products.
  2. In the web app, choose the Shopify destination and select Publish to Shopify. In the Shopify app, select Apply Selected.
  3. Review the product preview and status.
  4. Leave the option to publish ready translations afterward selected.
  5. Confirm the product and translation publication.

Listagrow publishes or applies each source product first. It then publishes the ready localized versions using the latest Shopify content. Only translations for languages already published in Shopify can be published.

Product application and translation publication are tracked separately. If some products cannot be applied, Listagrow publishes translations only for products that were applied successfully. If translation publication fails afterward, the applied products remain unchanged and you can retry the failed translation items independently.

Clear the translation publication option when you want to publish or apply the source products but keep their translations in Listagrow for later review or publication.

What Listagrow translates

The current translation workflow uses one fixed field set for each product-language pair:

  • Product title
  • Product description
  • SEO title
  • SEO description
  • Image alt text

There is no field picker in this workflow. Listagrow is designed to preserve the source meaning, factual claims, text structure, HTML formatting, URLs, placeholders, identifiers, units, and protected product terms such as a recognized brand name.

Translation does not change pricing, inventory, SKU, barcode, product images, categories, collection assignments, or other operational product data.

Review and edit the localized version

When translation is ready, open Enrich Products, select the Translations tab, then select Review beside a product. Select the target language in the panel to open its localized content. Review the title, description, SEO title, and SEO description as carefully as you review the source product.

You can edit the localized version before publication. Select Save translation to keep your edits. Text direction adjusts for right-to-left languages where applicable.

Credit use and translation status

Each translation uses 1 AI credit for one product and one target locale. The translation action is disabled when the available balance is too low.

Translation runs as an operation. A translation can appear as:

  • Translating while the localized content is being prepared.
  • Ready when it can be reviewed and edited.
  • Source changed when translated source content changed after the localized version was created.
  • Unpublished changes when the localized version changed after it was last published.
  • Failed when Listagrow could not complete the translation.

When the source changes, Listagrow preserves your localized edits and prevents publication until you review them. Select Keep translation when the existing localized version still matches the current source; this does not use a credit. Otherwise, translate that target language again to recreate it from the current source content. In a selected-product operation, use Regenerate existing translations to do this explicitly.

Publish a localized version to Shopify

The Publish to store locale action appears only when the currently selected connected store supports direct localized publishing and the translation is ready.

For a Shopify connection, publication requires:

  • The source product already exists in Shopify.
  • The target language is published in that Shopify store.
  • The connected store has the required translation permissions.

Select Publish to store locale only after you have reviewed and saved the localized content. Listagrow checks the store language and product prerequisites before starting publication, then updates the translation status when it completes.

If the publish action is unavailable for a connection, keep the translation in Listagrow for review. Direct localized publication is capability-dependent; it is not currently offered for every connected platform.

Review bulk results

After translation finishes, select View Results in the progress message. The Translations tab opens with the completed operation selected. Each product row shows its saved locales and overall status; select Review to edit, retry, or publish a localized version.

Clear the operation filter to see all products with translations, including catalog products that have not been published through Listagrow. Saved translations remain available after a source product is applied or published.

Bulk apply can publish all eligible ready translations after the source products are applied. Editing and saving localized content remain one product and language at a time.

Current workflow limits

Selecting individual translation fields and locale-aware export files are not currently part of this workflow.

For a multi-language catalog, start with a representative selection in each destination language and review the terminology before translating a larger selection.
